Attilio was born in Milan, Italy. He earned his masters degree in Industrial Chemistry at Universita degli Studi di Milano in March 2004. His research experience with heterogeneous catalysis started when he joined Dr. Rossi's research group in March 2003. There, he was engaged in an experimental thesis, funded by EU Auricat Project, dealing with "Gold Based Catalysts for Hydrocarbon Deep Oxidation." Attilio joined Dr. Amiridis' group in July 2004 as a PhD student. His present research deals with the development, synthesis, and characterization of nano-structured noble metal catalysts. During his spare time, he likes playing basketball, drawing, and traveling.
