Dr. Jong-Won Lee

Research Assistant Professor

His current work involves the development and characterization of catalysts and gas diffusion layers in PEM fuel cells as well as silver vanadium oxides for lithium batteries.

Dr. Prabhu Ganesan

Research Associate

Dr. Prabhu's current research work involves

Dr.Gang Wu

Research Associate

Dr. Wu's current research focuses are on the development of non-Pt and low-Pt electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in PEM fuel cell. Before he joined the Dr. Popov’s group in USC, his research subject was the electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol and other low-molecule alcohol over Pt based catalyst for direct alcohol fuel cells (DAFCs).

Dr. Xuguang Li

Research Associate

Dr. Masaharu Nakayama

Visiting Associate Professor

Dr. Nakayama is an associate professor at Yamaguchi University in Japan. His research work focuses on the electrosynthesis of nanostructured materials for possible electrochemical applications. He is a visiting associate professor in Dr. Popov’s research group since April 2007. Currently, he is exploring the possibilities of utilizing anodically deposited multi-nanolayered manganese oxides as cathodes for Li-ion batteries.

Dr. Yoon-Seok Choi

Research Associate

His current research work development of nanostructured cathodes for fuel cell applications through pulse deposition. Dr.Choi joined Dr. Popov's research group in Oct 2005.

Seh Kyu Park

Graduate Student

Seh Kyu is working in the area of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell. His research covers the development of non-precious catalysts as well as mathematical modeling to predict PEM fuel cell performance. He has been working with Dr.Branko N.Popov since Spring 2004.
