Miao Yu

Assistant Professor


Our research interests are focused on rationally designing or assembling nano-materials into advanced functional structures, characterizing nanostructures, understanding functioning mechanisms, and exploring applications ranging from solar energy conversion, gas storage for vehicle applications, to chemical separations. Current active research directions include proton-conducting graphene membranes for H2 separation, natural gas storage for light vehicles, photocatalytic solar CO2 conversion to fuel, and nano-structured membranes for CO2 capture. Our goal is to improve energy efficiency for fuel production from renewable sources for separation processes for environmental pollution reduction.
