Jong-Won Lee

Research Assistant Professor

Dr. Lee's research interest is in the area of materials science and interfacial electrochemistry with a particular focus on synthesizing electrode materials and studying electrochemical reaction kinetics. The electrochemically active materials of interest range from "transition metal oxides" and "metal-hydrides" for rechargeable batteries to "Pt-free electrocatalysts" and "mixed oxides" for proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) and solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). Numerical simulations are also used to gain fundamental insight into the electrochemical process.
